I had the absolute pleasure of working with Matt while we hammered through our MBA together and the pleasure of sharing the coveted President's Circle Award. He probably won't tell you this, but you get that award when all of the students vote you a top contributer to their experience at school, and then when it gets confirmed by the faculty. Matt and I kept in touch after school as he leapt with both feet into his relocation to Taiwan. I had the pleasure of working with Matthew when he interned for me at L’Oreal for 7 months in 2004. He joined the Biolage team at a critical time during which the brand was being re-positioned with the creation of multiple new packaging design graphics and a new advertising campaign for 7 hair care lines. In addition to these significant changes, the brand portfolio was growing with new product development and the business was expanding into new international markets (China, India, Brazil). Matt was intricately involved in all aspects of these initiatives and was an essential member of the Biolage team. His prior work experience, international business acumen, professionalism, sharp intellect and attention to detail enabled him to quickly learn our new product development process and cultivate the necessary networks (internal, external & international) to effectively manage his projects and take on increasing responsibilities. Matt continually used his creative, analytical and strategic skills, applying them to various issues and projects while remaining flexible in thinking and adept at changing direction in a fast paced environment. Without his significant contributions, I can emphatically state that we would not have been able to accomplish the quantity, nor quality of work needed to ensure the successful Biolage brand global relaunch.
