Radio DJ
-
Jan 2014 - Apr 2016
I was one of the many DJs on St. Lawrence University's student-run Radio Station, KSLU. I had a weekly show where I curate a medley of songs from a large variety of genres including hip-hop, R&B/Soul, Pop, Electronic, Jazz, Reggae, Blues, Rock and Alternative and more. I also had the privilege of bringing on some of my talented friends who are singers/songwriters and musicians and had them play covers and even their original music. I enjoyed spreading my passion for all types of music to anyone who wanted to listen online through blogs.stlawu.edu/radio or through the radio option on iTunes.

Job Coach
-
Jun 2014 - Aug 2014
I worked with adults with a variety of physical and mental disabilities at different job sites. I directed them on how to complete a variety of tasks. I floated from job site to job site and gave a helping hand wherever was needed. I was able to build a connection with my fellow staff members as well as the people who worked at the various sites. They were all a pleasure to work with and I gained plenty of knowledge on how their brains work and how they interact with each other. They are no different than we are so they should not be treated unequally. I throughly enjoyed my time at The Kennedy Center over the summer of 2014.

Maintenance
-
May 2013 - Aug 2013
I worked with two wonderful managers who have been at that particular store for a decade and two decades respectively. I controlled the phone when the two managers were busy with customers. I also helped out with inventory measurements and rearrangement of the showroom. The busy season, which lasts from mid may until mid or late July, was very important to deliver during especially with the way the economy has been the past 5 or so years. The managers and owners were very grateful of the work I did for them as I worked to the best of my abilities to provide whatever they asked of me. I always tried to ask questions if I was not sure of what to do. I also began to understand how a retail store operates each and every day.

Winter Break Intern
-
Dec 2012 - Jan 2013
This is another relevant example that illustrates the power of connections as I was able to get this short yet valuable internship through my dad and family friends. While at Menaji, I helped to promote their marketing plan on social media. I performed inventory analysis on a regular basis as well as organized sample product to send off to future endorsers and fellow companies in order to grow the company. I am very grateful to have had the opportunity to work for Menaji as it gave me some more knowledge about how a small startup business functions on a daily basis.

Maintenance
-
Jun 2010 - Aug 2011
I was one of the two maintenance men at Black Rock Yacht Club for two summers. I enjoyed working there as I met a slew of interesting people who were great colleagues and had outgoing personalities. While working there, I made sure that the club property and surrounding areas were kept clean in order to promote the content of the members and make my boss's job as easy as possible. I also gained a lot of knowledge regarding handiwork. I am grateful to have had this job as I was introduced to the manager by my next door neighbor at the time. Life is all about connections!
