I taught Matt in Digital Illustration and Advertising Illustration courses at Pennsylvania College of Art & Design. Matt is an intelligent, highly creative artist. He is quick to understand the needs, and parameters of a project and brings all of his skills, both digital and traditional to create a unique piece of art.

I would highly recommend the services of Matt Chapman. I originally hired Matt to do the cover art for our corporate journal "DOSE". He is not only excellent technically but his creative skills are amazing. He took the project from concept to completion. I have asked Matt to expand his services to our company. He is now doing the cover art and the entire journal layout and design. He is highly professional, talented and provides excellent overal value to any project.

I instruct Drawing 2 for foundation year students, focusing on perspective, observation, color theory, and human anatomy. I also instruct a Continuing Education course titled "Developing Your Drawing Style". Designed for people of any age who have an interest in better understanding the technical application of drawing mediums in relation to their own personal interests. In my time as an adjunct instructor I have proven myself to be a person who can engage with the varied and integrated culture of higher art education. I am a motivated Professional who can consistently deliver results that exceed what is expected while working with students as a collective or on an individual basis. I understand the process of making art through both creative and critical perspectives; I can use that knowledge to build strong relationships as an instructor while also providing students with the ability to construct a vocabulary that they can take into themselves and integrate into their own studio practice.

Artist Statement 2015 Iv’e been witness to many events and subject to countless situations. Each time impressing upon me a gesture of life that is unique and memorable. The landscape, external conversations, internal dialogue, and the observations I've made have largely influenced the language in which my work communicates. Statements in themselves or sentences in a larger body, they look to ask more questions rather than provide answers. Pentimenti Gallery features content driven contemporary art which challenges traditional materials and aesthetics by a line of internationally established artists alongside young talent. As the Associate Director I report directly to the Gallery Director. My actions include administrative upkeep of the galleries official website, social media outlets, and PR. I also perform both installation and deinstallation of artworks and exhibitions, as well as art handling, packing and shipping.
