  Having started off as a part time evening shift worker in Waitrose, I progressed through to full time work and onto management training. I took on a new role created, a Team Leader, which assisted section management within a busy branch of the John Lewis Partnership. I was soon offered the opportunity to begin a 6 month management training programme, which I completed, and progressed both my retail knowledge and my people skills. Having done all there is to do in Retail, from stacking shelves through to co-ordinating full branch refurbishments, I have to say working closely with people of different abilities and strengths to achieve our goals, in often difficult circumstances, was very rewarding for me.
