In my current role I am part of a team that is responsible for managing, supporting and improving the eMBED IT service environment, this is a 4,500 user, 129 site, VDI implementation as well as providing support for other health organisations in our area. • Technical lead on Windows 10 Wyse terminal deployment over 98 sites across Bradford. 2048 terminals in total. • Operational Architect and main design lead for build, scripting, and installation of working kit to underpin “contingency mode” working and VMware Windows 10 upgrades. • Creation of group policy objects for the Windows 10 deployment to enable a smooth transition • Writing PowerShell scripts to set correct language and enable use of contingency mode to provide business continuity. • Briefing senior and junior staff as well as 3rd party companies to provide advice, updates and documentation where needed. • Using ThinApp to provide access to business critical applications such as Lexacom dictation to users at GP sites enabling them to work more efficiently. • Working with project staff to assist with the completion of new work streams involving other Health Organisations, third party suppliers as well as local GP practices, making sure that our IT systems are capable of meeting their business requirements and expectations, whilst meeting deadlines to enable a satisfactory conclusion • Providing day to day support for the back end infrastructure as well as the onsite devices where needed working to resolve issues and keeping to service level agreements.
