Matt is one of the more pleasant people I've ever worked with. He helped me recruit for some key roles, and also did some ancillary marketing projects. He's got a smile that's contagious, and a can-do, professional attitude that makes him a fantastic team plater. He's not afraid of trying new things and is a fast learner, which he's demonstrated over and over again at DoubleDutch. He goes beyond the "job description" to ensure that things are done efficiently and with polish. In addition to being one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet, he also have follow-through and drive. I know he will take these skills and apply them to any company that is lucky enough to have him in the future.

I can proudly call Matt both a trusted colleague and friend. I had the pleasure of working with Matt as DoubleDutch began to scale out it's organization from 80 to well over 250. He and I had the challenging responsibility of building an in-house recruiting team from scratch after transitioning from expensive agencies. At one point, Matt and I were overseeing over 30 requisitions together. What makes Matt great is his passion for people and his infectious, down-to-earth demeanor. He gets to know candidates on a personal level and makes them feel at home during the process. At the same time, Matt demonstrates a high acumen for sourcing the "right" type of candidate (culture fit and skillset) for a role. In the time I worked with Matt, he came across extremely likable as well as coachable. He continually assesses and critiques his work and asks for constant evaluation. It's this type of self awareness that will make an incredible leader in recruiting for an organization one day. But above all this, Matt is a genuinely great human being. He cares deeply about his team. He is principled in his judgment and carries himself with the utmost integrity. Not only do I have a high level of respect for Matt as a person, but I admire him for what he stands for. I already miss him and hope we get a chance to someday work again.
