Kingsley Chen 🇺🇦
It has been a pleasure to work with Matt. During our time testing the US-1 together he took the time to explain the background methodology and at times convoluted platform nuances in a both an informative and respectful manner (for us less than technically minded - in the weeds of flight control systems). Matt's deep understanding of related sub-systems no doubt helped our team through challenging situations.

As a systems engineer and product manager at Impossible Aerospace, I had the opportunity to work directly alongside Matt as he developed software for a hardware product deployed in the field. Even ignoring the high quality of the technical work that he does, Matt is a team member that improves the performance of those around him by collecting information into high-quality documentation and applying project management skills to bring order to the sometimes chaotic work of a startup R&D team. Matt is an extremely thorough and detail oriented team member who pursues a deep understanding of the systems he works with . When I needed a well-documented and thorough analysis of a bug or issue in the field, Matt was the first person I would ask. His understanding of US-1 was second to none on our team, and his introspective nature meant that he would not speculate until he was certain he had the facts of the issue. Several times over my tenure at Impossible, a piece of documentation written by Matt was by far best source of information available about an anomaly or production issue, even on issues that Matt didn't directly own. In addition, Matt is an accomplished project manager. Matt was the primary contact for one of Impossible's software vendors for the duration of his time at Impossible, and consistently worked to align incentives for both companies while tracking individual feature requests and bug fixes. Even within our team, Matt was always on top of knowing what needed to be done and tracking progress towards those goals. Working with Matt was an absolute pleasure, and having him as a teammate made me better at my own responsibilities. I'd recommend him without reservation to any engineering team looking to build a reliable and well-understood product.
