  Responsible for consolidating the existing product range and bringing a further, more diverse product range to the company with the goal of increasing company turnover. Since taking on the role, I've taken a more encompassing, multi-discipline role, which has seen me become responsible for project and product costing, sourcing new innovative materials to reduce existing costs and increase general efficiency within the company. The operational side of the job requires me to ensure that the company achieves it's sales turnover, on time and to deliver constant profits. Ensuring that jobs are manufactured correctly, cost effectively and delivered on time and in accordance to customer build specification and quality requirements. It's my responsibility for managing the purchasing function to ensure that material is purchased cost effectively and available for production when required. Furthermore, managing the inventory function and stock control to ensure that raw material is received, stored and transferred correctly. After successful completion of projects, it's my responsibility to ensure that all elements are handed over and the job is invoiced. Taking a more interdisciplinary approach to the company requires to be jointly responsible for contributing towards the achievement of the company's strategic and operational targets and overall business aims.   Designing the new UK based manufactured products for a new budget range of seating. Liaising with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure competitive pricing in an ever changing market. Producing designs & CAD layouts for varying projects around the UK & Europe, including projects for Bentley Motors; Sir Robert McAlpine Contractors & Vue Cinemas. Utilising SolidWorks and AutoCAD to compliment the drawings system in place and create BOMs ensuring accurate manufacture and production. Producing working models prior to starting full manufacturing runs of our products to ensure accuracy and feasibility of design. Liaising with the Malaysian Head Office to ensure drawings are produced and correct standards are achieved. Also ensuring that current manufacturing commitments are being kept adhered to from the Malaysian and Chinese factories. Show less
