Assisted middle school students with their daily tasks. Provided mentoring and tutoring throughout the school year.

    • 9th Grade Basketball Coach
      • Nov 2008 - Feb 2010

Coached 9th grade players in the 2009-2010 basketball season who in the beginning of the season, could not effectively run the three-man-weave drill. These young men ended up being the best team I have ever coached thus far as they prevailed to have an undefeated (12-0) season. I still have a wonderful rapport with many of those players who became college students. Some have even went on to play basketball and baseball on the collegiate level. I'm looking forward to some day coach again on the high-school varsity level.

    • 7th and 8th Grade Soccer Coach
      • Sep 2009 - Nov 2009

The program was on the verge of being cancelled and the kids needed a coach. I was reluctant because I knew very little about soccer. I accepted the challenge, learned how to play, plus grew to have a newfound respect for the game of soccer.

    • 7th Grade Basketball Coach
      • Nov 2006 - Feb 2008

My motive was to bring the best out of each and every player I coached. I utilized their talents in every way possible. I overemphasized the importance of teamwork and how it had correlation to the world outside of the game. Countless analogies filled the locker rooms both home and away as I shared personal stories about how they will never forget their middle school years. Throughout practice and games came life long lessons that these young men took off of the court to carry with them forever.
