  Responsibilities • Planning and hosting wine tastings and dinners including working closely with customers to tailor wine tasting events to meet there specific requirements and budget • Overseeing the planning, logistics and set-up for offsite wine events • Training On Trade staff in newly arrived wines to ensure all sites had a good knowledge of wines available for sale. This included running tasting sessions with staff and developing tasting/food matching notes. • Reviewing wines in stock at each location and correlating these to those in stock at head office or on order with a view to ensuring each site had sufficient wines to meet the specific customer preferences at each site • Working with the Head Buyer to identify and source wines • Tasting and evaluating wines from suppliers and determining saleability • Attending trade tastings and identifying suitable wines to purchase • Managing the fulfilment (selection, picking, packing and delivery) of customer orders (private clients and corporate orders) • Assisting with the stock management activities (stock takes, receipt of goods, picking/packing customer orders) • Assessing and picking the daily stock transfer requests from each On Trade site and preparing these for delivery • Maintaining and developing the relationship with our largest ongoing Corporate client building this account from a few thousand pounds per year to over £20,000 per year • Preparing, analysing and communicating weekly sales and stock reports across all sites • Operational support for each On Trade site • Providing first level IT support for the company • Maintaining the website for the company
