I am still responsible for developing and growing the co-location business for Datum from our High Security, QinetiQ, Cody Technology Park site in Farnborough. Datum now boasts over 60 clients from Defence, Blue Light, Finance, MSP's, Telecoms, Public Sector, and Construction to mention a few. The key to our success is that we provide Enterprises with a platform that truly allows for Digital Transformation. Legacy equipment and platforms are migrated to Datum and then the transformation begins. Legacy equipment is retired and the clients footprint reduces. Workloads are moved to a cloud platform (public or private) and the footprint reduces still further. Datum allow clients to reduce their contract without penalty whilst also providing reserved capacity and space without charge. Such a construct provides the perfect environment to transform and deliver an IT function across multiple platforms at a predictable cost and without waste. We are about to commence work on the first floor which will see over 500 rack positions and up to 3 MW of IT Load. We can also able to provide a 'wholesale' offering and offer a pricing model that you would expect at the 500kW + scale. With planning permission granted for 2 x 1MW Halls its an exciting time for Datum. PLease contact me for any further information.
