Jun 2018 - Jun 2018
I have worked for MINT on two separate occasions. One was on 25-28 May for We Are FSTVL in Upminster where I worked as both bartending, cocktail making, customer service and stock management. The entire weekend was incredibly busy and very fast-paced. The second occasion was on 9-10 June for Parklife at Heaton Park. Like in Upminster, this one was very busy and I worked directly with the stock and customers. Both jobs taught the value of organisation for these big scale events and festivals and how a well coordinated team can make a significant difference. There were times where I would often have to take charge because there were staff members that appeared somewhat clueless regarding their duties. Through working at these jobs, I learnt the importance of teamwork, organisation, initiative, and determination. Show less

Bartender

May 2018 - May 2018
I worked at We Are FSTVL in Upminster 25/05-28/05. My roles consisted of interacting with customers and managing stock throughout a heavily busy 12-hour shift that saw me having to think on my feet most of the time and keep a calm and collected demeanor, especially when it came to dealing with difficult customers. It was a great test of my practicality and my customer service. It also involved me having to camp there over the weekend, showing how flexible I am with travel.

Apr 2018 - Apr 2018
This role involved myself working at Aintree Racecourse for the Grand National festival 13-14 April. My duties were to serve beer to customers, carrying the beer keg in a rucksack whilst accounting all the change which I had to tally for each individual customer. It was a busy environment that involved a great deal of on-the-spot thinking and long-term strain from carrying the beer keg constantly. On the second day I started off doing the same duties, serving beer whilst carrying the keg. But, when it got to midday, the manager requested that I work closer with the maintenance staff for the distillation and distribution of the beer to each individual keg for every staff member who would then serve the customers. It was a heavy duty task that involved a lot of quick changes and efficiency so as to not waste any of the products. All of the staff members were mutually supportive and helped each other to make the work much less strenuous and more productive. Show less

Production Assistant
-
Mar 2016 - Apr 2018
I've worked for this production company for 2 years but on 3 separate projects. All of which involved myself taking on various duties including; runner, production assistant, key grip, caterer, camera logger, boom operator, and security. Each role required the utmost organisation and efficiency as film shoots would last for long periods throughout the day and occasionally the night. I enjoyed this because I got the opportunity to work on a professional film shoot and meet interesting characters that were very supportive in managing the work and what I should do if a situation had arisen that I was struggling to comprehend. One thing that I had learned from each individual film shoot is the importance of intuition and how every single is crucial for carrying out a successful film project. Show less

Mar 2018 - Mar 2018
My duties as hospitality staff were to assist the event organisers and the exhibitionists in any task that was assigned to me. This included the loading and unloading of expensive equipment, the assembly and maintenance of the exhibitions, serving warm beverages to customers, and displaying helpful customer service. The job was not as strenuous as other jobs that I have been involved with, but it was particularly rewarding in terms of teaching me to be practical and different levels of enthusiasm for individual event organisers. Warehouse Operative
-
Oct 2017 - Jan 2018
Throughout all of my employment history, this job was the most physically demanding. My duties revolved around picking out products that had been ordered from the Internet and packaging them for individual deliveries around the country. For long periods throughout the day, I would constantly be moving around my assigned area of the warehouse, confirming the orders which I had been given as quickly as possible. There would often be times where orders would be very minimal and I would resort to requesting a reassignment to a different area where I could be more productive and useful. My employment here ended abruptly due to a low number in Internet orders, resulting in the redundancy of a large number of beginner-level employees. Show less

Sales Assistant

Oct 2015 - Dec 2015
I worked in as a sales assistant for Smyth's Toy Store in Bolton for 3 months during the Xmas period in 2015. This job was the entry point to my work with customer service and, because of the time of year, a very busy environment. My duties involved selling outdoor activity equipment to different families with small children. I'd learned a lot from this about customer service and on-the-spot initiative. I enjoyed it because I got to meet new and interesting people everyday and then learn about their problems and the specific requirements they have for their children. At that time of year, every parent is stressed because they want to get the right gift for their child. It was my duty, as a salesman, to use my intuition and fulfil their wants and needs to go that extra mile and make their tasks much less demanding and stressful. Show less

Production Assistant
-
Sep 2015 - Oct 2015
An example of a significant production in my employment history is when I worked on a month-long project in September 2015 in Southport with Two-Headed Snake Productions, produced by Stu Jopia & Stuart Bedford. This was the first professional production that I have been involved with since leaving university in 2015. It taught me what specific skills are needed to be as efficient and productive as possible in order to carry out a successful production. In particular, how to cooperate with my fellow crew members and not to obstruct any filming by carrying out my duties as unequivocally as possible. My duties, as a beginner, involved logging the camera shots, serving drinks to senior crew members, keeping any outside disturbances to a minimum, entertaining the cast, and managing the expensive heavy-duty equipment. This taught me a lot about productions to the point that it made me want to be more involved with as many projects as possible, building my skillset as a result until I eventually reach a senior role in my own right.
