Charge Nurse (RN)

Feb 2014 - Present
The roles I provide for this facility are quite simply put to admit IRS’s (individuals receiving services), as we call them, into the facility, to help maintain a behavior level coherent with normal daily living, and to discharge IRS’s to there respected home or assisted living facilities. My many roles included medication administration, being an integral part of the treatment team located on the floor I currently work on, 4 South (Aggressive Males), assigned with beginning, revising and putting into effect the IRS’s specific treatment plan, while at the same time maintaining a respectable level of medical knowledge in case any emergency situation were to arise.

Dec 2011 - Feb 2014
Worked with Queen City Nursing Home as weekend charge nurse and was been doing so since January of 2012, a month after I received my nursing degree. The extent of my job consists of direct patient care, all residents receive thorough weekly bodily assessments. Also working directly with geriatric patients, I provided care for tracheostomies, colostomies, urostomies, PEG tubes, and residents who have been affected by pressure sores. The extent of my current job also calls for me to work one-on-one with my direct supervisor, the charge nurse, in writing new orders for pressure sores, abrasions, lacerations, surgical incisions, etc. that may occur to the resident as a result of there treatment plan or accidents that may occur in or out of facility on a daily basis.
