I jumped at the chance to work with Matt when I heard about his life and past works. He is fantastically fun to work for and alongside. We always have a good time talking. His stories and experience in so many mediums is a great inspiration to me. Matt is a very talented Artist who specializes in illustrating the team's designs and visions. We throw some really left-field requests at him all the time and we’ve always been blown away by the magical styles and whimsical natures in all of the results. I’ve been working with Matt for the past 7 years on a myriad of video game platforms and game types. He’s your guy when you need to go from sketch to final product! Matt Laverty has been absolutely fantastic to work with on all MyDream Interactive projects since 2014, and it has been great to see him develop each and every new style for each new product. As a master of 2D media, Matt is great at designing and animating the characters, filming and editing the videos, and producing energetic promotional and marketing materials, which comes together to make an aesthetically interesting and cohesive look to all aspects of the product. If the intent is a cute and lighthearted aesthetic, or something a bit more edgy or dramatic, Matt can work towards developing exactly the right look and feel for the intended style of the project, whether it is based on very little feedback or very specific guidelines. Beyond having a great sense of good art and design, Matt is very friendly and accommodating to work with, and the east/west coast time differential had no impact on our ability to work together effectively. Any project can immediately use Matt’s experience and expertise to reshape the entire style of the project, or create a new one altogether.
