  As a Build Program manager, I oversaw the entire freshman class of students and guided them into completing their first year of business development and entrepreneurship training. I collaborated with the curriculum development team to make sure that the curriculum materials were adapted to meet the needs of all students in the virtual learning environment. This process entailed creating lessons that brought the students through a virtual design challenge. From here, they created a business with a product or service, developed a marketing strategy and social media campaign, along with a professional website. It concluded with an end of the year presentation given in front of a panel of professionals who played the role of investors.

  I was enrolled in the New York City Teaching Fellowship Program from the summer of 2018 to the summer of 2020. During my two years in this program I took part in monthly trainings related to best practices in special education instruction as well as innovations in the educational field. I collaborated with my colleagues in the NYC Teaching Fellowship program on projects related to reimagining how history is taught, incorporating more elements of culturally responsive teaching into our daily practices and using more elements of SEL (social-emotional learning).
