He is very skilled in systems management but what I will remember about working with him the most is his integrity and how he managed his team. We worked on quite a few root cause analysis investigations together after a major system outage. Matt was always very forthcoming with information about what happened, were process or monitoring gaps allowed it to occur and what steps he and his team were taking to make sure the same incident did not happen again. Matt is also a good judge of character and was very open and communicative with his team as well as his peers in infrastructure management. He is a great leader and I was sorry to see him leave Copart.
