• In 2011 I started at The Mansion Nightclub as a Security Team Member where I excelled in handling difficult situations with disgruntled customers by providing great customer service and problem solving. This played a huge role in helping me to improve and better my people skills as it is known that customers in the industry can be harder to engage. • After 3 months I was promoted to Security Manager. Where I was responsible for recruiting like-minded team members who I could train to handle a situation properly and professionally with a customer. • In 2012 after I built and trained a team of professional security associates I was promoted once again to assistant Manager where I was given the responsibility to open and close the establishment along with handling the security team. • After a short 3 months of being the Assistant Manager the owner of the company came to me and offered me the opportunity to be his General Manager. He told me it’s due to my people skills, and that someone like me was the perfect fit to run and develop his new business. • In My first year of being the General Manager I was responsible for creating and putting into place policies and procedures hand books, created a inventory system that is easy to understand and extremely effective in preventing theft, also created a weekly and monthly spreadsheet to track profits, expense, and a easy way of understanding where expenses could be cut to increase profit margins. • I played an integral role in the recruitment of associates, implementing the changes in order to provide better customer service, decrease costs, increase profit, recruiting staff that fit our needs and target audience, maintain staff moral, and also pilot a new way of creating a fun atmosphere for the best possible customer experience. • I have had the privilege to open two other venues with the same ownership. • My position with General Nutrition Center had an hourly rate of minimum wage but was mostly based on commission, which motivated me to push for sales. I was responsible for selling healthy living products and signing customers up for a membership card. After some time I realized that I needed to work on a different sales technique to be successful. So I went out and used my connections in the sports world and starting sampling the products that would benefit an athlete. In no time I started to develop a clientele which would become repeat sales. • In 8 months I was bumped up to full time hours and I was ranked 20th in sales for GNC Ontario.
