Worked closely with Matt for over two years and he has been a great mentor. He has a vast knowledge of everything digital and he’s a hard worker. He will inevitably make a great addition to any marketing team in the future.

Steven Spedding

Matthew brought excellent knowledge and experience to Practical's marketing and subscriptions department. He played an integral role in advancing all areas of this in a period of significant growth for the organisation. He is also a great person to work with on a personal level.

L'Oreal Brandstorm is L'Oréal's unique business competition for students to unleash their creativity and apply ground-breaking ideas to one of L'Oréal's international brands and distribution channels. Since 1992 Brandstorm has given to more than 70,000 students worldwide the possibility to work on real life challenges and be coached by top L'Oréal executives. The 2015 brief to all registered teams was to create a digital strategy and in store experience for Lancôme in the travel retail sector. The strategies needed to increase sales and capture consumer’s loyalty. Forming as a team of 1 of 3 we had a strong idea to rebrand Lancôme in the travel retail sector and play on the heritage aspect of the company. We wanted to incorporate beauty and all that Lancôme stands for to deliver a unique offering. The offering was Lancôme paradise; a paradise for Lancôme consumers. We reached the national finals and went down to London a few times for a briefing day and to see a graphic designer. The experience was one to remember and personally I enjoyed every seconded of the process. I took away a lot of confidence and endeavour to always push myself as making it to the national final out of 85 teams which was cut down to 8 showed our level of integrity to our work and the amount of effort we put in together. The full presentation is available to view along with photos on the day.
