Alex Watkins
Matt is an extremely hard worker who has the ability to be confident and successful in everything he does. Matt is highly skilled in event planning, community management and crisis management. His attitude has always been one of selflessly making sure what needs to be done, gets done, and then ensures he finds the time to reflect on what needs to change next time. As a customer of Fantasy Flight Games, and a leader in their customer community before and during Matt's involvement, I can not over state the positive impact that he had. Prior to Matt's involvement as a community manager, FFG had a communication problem with the customer community. It was a constant sore spot for the customer base. Matt not only allayed those negatives, but turned it into a strong suit of FFG. He was responsive, witty, tactful, and worked extremely hard to build community trust. I am a part of dozens of gaming communities (both in the board game and electronic space) and there are only one or two community managers that I would say are on Matt's level as far as his respect and adoration in the community. Ask yourself, how many customer recommendations do you see on linkedin? Especially for the retail space. There aren't many, and that should tell you all you need to know about Matt's ability to improve your brand.
