In his 23-year career in retail automotive services, Matt has a unique industry perspective gained from both his technical and management experience within the service center. He leads a diverse team responsible for the overall operation, safety, talent development, guest service experience, sales growth and unit expansion of more than 1,600 service centers in North America under the VIOC and Valvoline Great Canadian Oil Change brands. Under Matt’s leadership, VIOC has delivered nine consecutive years of same store sales growth including during economic downturns and the pandemic. The overall safety recordable rate for 8,000+ team members has been reduced by 50 percent and VIOC has expanded its Company service center footprint by 293 percent (An increase of 504 rooftops). Total store responsibility of 765 stores. He is dedicated to supporting employee wellbeing and development both at work and away. Matt provides retail operations leaders with opportunities to complete personal finance management courses. He also established the VIOC Hands on Assistance Fund, a 501c3 charitable foundation to assist team members who experience short term financial hardship due to an emergency, natural disaster or unforeseen personal crisis.
