I've worked with Matt on and off for 10 years now. He's one of the most talented Linux, Network, Windows, cloud/on premise, jack of all trades engineers I've ever worked with. If it pulls power (or is supposed to) Matt can make it go.

Started as a consultant at Archipelago as the only 3rd shift support member. Talked my way onto the staff after the contract was extended the second time. I was cheaper to hire directly and then was able to be trained by the SAN and Network teams. I thought it made more sense to have them teach me what they were doing them to have to pull all nighters to run upgrades (I was being paid to be awake at 2am they were salaried so kind of working for free). Arca was bought by NYSE in 2006. Over my time there I went from being the only 3rd shift support member to building a team of 4, training, managing them and eventually being promoted to a Technical Manager. I was responsible for all maintenance and administration tasks overnight (hardware and software upgrades, installs, etc.). Hitachi SAN, 3PAR, EMC, Sun hardware, Solaris, Redhat migration, Veritas Volumes, Brocade switches. Show less

Divine was an incubator back in the day, I worked for a company called Parlano on a product called MindAlign. I think the got bought by Microsoft and turned into skype for business/teams later. I was a backend Unix admin using Solaris and Oracle to run the apps. Nothing sexy, but started here and learned alot.
