      • Aug 2017 - May 2019

I opened this store and was responsible for getting it ready. I had helped open a few stores by this time but this was the first time I was in charge of the process. We had a great first year and performed very well across the board.

    • Store Manager
      • Oct 2014 - Aug 2017

I was responsible for the overall performance of my store for customer service, credit card performance, audit performance, and other metrics. I also ensured my assistants had a sound understanding of the business and held them accountable for their performance and the performance of the team.

    • Foundations of Leadership Facilitator
      • Feb 2012 - Apr 2016

I facilitated an instructional leadership class for coordinators in our district. Coordinators are the full time employees that directly supervise the associates and complete everyday tasks. The class was designed to make them better leaders and get more done through their team by using these skills. I was responsible for leading this training and working with the District’s store management team to help support the coordinators through the 2-3 month process. After 2 work shops and a final evaluation it was up to the store manager to determine if progress was made and if lessons were learned and applied. I had to perform these duties while still maintaining my regular management duties in my store. Show less

I started in Spokane selling and stocking shoes. I left for a few years and came back in 2005. I then started selling jewelry in a JCPenney in San Antonio, worked into a jewelry operations role then moved to Utah. I did various stocking and merchandising for a few months in Utah and was moved into the Jewelry Supervisor role. I did that for a few months and earned a promotion to manager trainee around 2007-2008. When the recession started my opportunities dried up and I was forced to move on to other opportunities.
