Matt is a collaborative and influential leader, driven by what is best for his team and organisation. He operates with integrity, and offers a strategic viewpoint combined with logical direction to motivate teams in achieving their goals. His broad business experience complements his ability to drive transformation and change programmes, and his passion for the people is evident through these engagements. I am very fortunate to have worked with Matt during my time at the Far North District Council, and would gladly recommend him for any future opportunities.

Awesomeness. That’s what I want to see in today’s leaders and it’s something I’ve watched Matt embody over the 3 years I’ve worked with him. In an ever-evolving corporate environment it’s more evident than ever that in order to be awesome you need to be self-aware, manage ambiguity while enabling your team to do the same, and flex to move with changing priorities. It’s been my pleasure to see Matt’s leadership style evolve to a new level of awesome in the time I’ve worked with him. Matt confidently demonstrates some of those key qualities you expect to see from today’s great leaders – strategic, inspiring, delivering results, forming great relationships across multiple sectors, innovating, driving change, and all with a high level of EQ which you don’t see often. Underpinning all this is a big heart (sorry Matt your secret is out!), evidenced by him always being the first one to support and coach others. While my role formally has been to partner with Matt to deliver great people outcomes, my real role has been to provide Matt with the confidence to help unlock his true potential, enabling him to be a fantastic thought and people leader. Thanks for being awesome and inspiring awesomeness Matt.
