  I work with guests throughout my entire shift, and I am always presenting my best self. The doorman is the first person a guest sees, it is important to make the guest’s first impression of the hotel a good one; it sets the tone of their experience. Not only that, the doorman of Chateau Laurier is also presenting the capital of Canada. The Doorman is iconic, and stands outside the front entrance of a castle, which lies beside the parliament building. The doorman is the first person a guest sees, it is important to make the guest’s first impression of the hotel a good one; it sets the tone of their experience. Thus, I present my best self at all times; for a passing glance is still part of any tourist’s experience in Ottawa.

  I have been coaching children ranging from the ages of 3-18 years of age, as well as adults of all ages, -on how to skate. It involves having First-Aid and CPR certification, and certification from the Coaching Association of Canada; after successfully completing multiple extensive modules on ethics and respect in sport. Coaching requires patience, awareness, and the ability to work on helping many individuals to learn and improve upon their skating. I have been coaching children ranging from the ages of 3-18 years of age, as well as adults of all ages, -on how to skate.   The host of a restaurant makes the guests feel welcome. They ensure the entrance is clean and organized, -thus being welcoming and enticing, -whilst prioritizing that guests feel recognized. I spent the weeks before the restaurant's opening: participating in the online and in house preparation courses; including how to conduct yourself, and memorizing the entire menu down to it's ingredients, means of production, and the time it takes to go from order to table.
