  Kari Traa is a Norwegian training brand, designing and developing training clothes for young women. Kari Traa is a well known brand in Scandinavia, known for the colorful and very feminine clothes. The collection are wide; outerwear, ski wear, mid- and base layer, training and accessories. As a product developer at Kari Traa I am responsible developing the training and accessories collection. My assignment is to insure correct fitting, product are designed and develop to follow target FOB price. Transferring the design sketches in illustrator to production-ready garments with subsequent adjustments and adaptations of these to achieve optimal production. I work closely with our office en China. Which means several trips a year to China to work with our manufactures to insure that prototypes are produced correct for mass production. Show less

  At Innovation I worked in close cooperation with the design chief and the rest of the team. In the period I was involved in all aspects of designing and producing sofa beds. From market and target group analysis, to design and developing. All the way to the final product is in stores. In the development phase I was very hands on and build physical prototypes of sofa beds. I have experience from sewing pillows, testing possible stitching, designing buttons, working with different textile qualities. Furthermore I have developed seats in different types of foams to test ergonomic effect and usability. I illustrated the product in 3D animation to test the different technical features for a sofa bed through a rations of configurations. Show less
