Internship Shadowing Dr. Ulf Blecker at his private practice and OR

I spent two weeks shadowing Dr. Ulf Blecker, an orthopedic doctor and surgeon in Dusseldorf, Germany. I got to experience the day-to-day of the orthopedic clinic, as well as got to see several knee operations. This experience was all in German, which allowed me to deepen my knowledge of medical German, and also allowed me to make connections with what I had learned in my 2 years of med school so far. This experience really helped me get comfortable in the clinical setting ahead of the start of my clinical years of med school.
