As an IB Math teacher, I consider Matias as an element of success and perseverance anywhere he places himself. Once he gets involved in a project, conference, subject, work, or given a favor, he would do it by giving his best version and never leaving unremarkable. His participation in almost every project outside and at school that caught him nonetheless of his interest was for me and my colleagues an aptitude not every student has, and one that the real world needs to be fruitful.

As the Director of Research and Development, I oversee technical projects and workshops currently undergoing at NGE with the President and Vice President. Also, I act as a resource to support lead projects. Finally, I organize the selection of new proposals for the next projects by reporting details, schedule, budget and other documents. As a component engineer for the FAR 10k (Friends of Amateur Rocketry) rocket at KXR RSO at the University of Central Florida I design, research, manufacture, calculate, and evaluate Fins and Water Ballast components apart from helping others with Aerostructures systems. The importance of these components recalls maximizing stability and apogee of the rocket, apart from minimizing loads of the vehicle and aerodynamic forces such as drag friction and vibrations. In addition, water ballast acts as a load to move the center of gravity upwards while keeping the center of pressure lower to improve stability; this one is later released at apogee.
