Technical Development Department, LiDAR and Image Unit. The LiDAR and Image unit is in charge of the design of processing chains for photogrammetry and lasergrammetry, airborne and land-based. It works closely with scientific research, defence, production services and IGN partners. This position consisted in particular in working on the facilitation and automation of the updating of farmers' declarations to receive aid from the European Union's Common Agricultural Policy (CAP). This work is done in collaboration with the French Services and Payments Agency (ASP) and its European partners, united within the NIVA project for the modernisation of CAP processes.* Developed demonstrators for the automated detection of changes from orthophotographs and digital surface models.* Refactored and internationalized a tool for detecting vegetation cover by deep learning.

    • Engineer Intern (M1) - Processing of GPS Probe Data to Infer Traffic Signal Phase and Timing
      • May 2018 - Aug 2018

Shibasaki & Sekimoto Lab, Center for Spatial Information Science, Institute of Industrial Science.Knowledge of traffic light parameters should enable improvement of route calculations, traffic simulations and driving aids.* Developed denoising and map-matching techniques for the pre-processing of a large number of high-frequency, low-quality GPS tracks.* Created methods for estimating traffic light parameters (cycles, phasing) that vary according to traffic and time of day, based on low-density GPS data.* Data denoising also allows to improve the quality of detection and localization of traffic lights and speed analysis.

Geodetic and Leveling Department, Permanent GNSS Network Unit.Every day, the Permanent GNSS Network enables thousands of professionals throughout France to reference their work in the official French coordinate system.* Redesigned the GNSS data files processing chain, simplifying and reducing greatly the number of scripts needed, and also improving the handling of RINEX files version 3. * Introduced the use of version control with Git.* Took over maintenance tasks of the website, and migrated the repository from Subversion to Git.* Updated and revised the site logs of all the GNSS stations of the network, in coordination with our scientific partners, EUREF Permanent Network and IGS.

Geodetic and Leveling Department, Products and Development Unit. The Products and Development unit is responsible for the design and maintenance of the processing chains and tools essential for the maintenance of reference networks and their use, as well as for custom calculation and development services.* Developed and maintained a program for handling GNSS data files in the RINEX format : edition, conversion between versions 2 and 3, quality check.* Took over maintenance of the Circé software, official reference in France for coordinates conversions, as well as multiple processing and computations chains (classical leveling, GNSS measurements).* Industrialized the computation chain of the NIREF high-precision reference leveling network and incorporated the new measurement campaigns.* Developed web-based interfaces for geographic and geodetic databases consultation and data entry.* Studied the available distributed version control software solutions suitable for replacing Subversion, proposed Git and then participated in its deployment throughout the service. Taught and coached my colleagues on how to use it.
