Since I showed a lot of initiative when it comes to new technologies, processes and best practices I was promoted to leader role in one of the three teams managing SaaS platform. My main achievement since then was transition from 2-week release cycle to Continuous delivery with per feature release cycle. This required a lot of work in areas of monitoring, automated tests, IaC automation, quality and process improvements. I was leading this transition for all the teams in the company. I’m also responsible for architecture of the entire system and propositions for new technical modules. I take part in day to day development since I believe that is the only good way to adapt effective change. I’m also a big fan of DevOps and Lean development methodologies and because of that I transitioned the teams from layered operations, quality, development division to being more effective DevOps teams. At this time I was promoted and started working on a new project which was cloud based SaaS platform for Manufacturing applications - link. We started completely from ground up and I was one of the selected few responsible for the architecture. We managed to achieve go-live in one year. The entire platform was based on microservices architecture with core managing most of the technical aspects of the system and microapps being the business components. My team was mostly responsible for development of core which consisted of authentication server, portal with management of users and their identities, communication message queue for microservices, shared packages with technical modules like communication, logging, frontend part that allowed to register and embed micro frontends.
