I used high resolution seismic and geodetic observations to study earthquake preparatory processes. I used numerical models of geo-energy reservoirs to generate deformation and stress change distributions in order to forecast fluid and heat flow, and seismicity associated to anthropogenic fluid injections in the sub-surface.I supervised students to develop models for (i) Two-phase fluid flow in subsurface reservoirs/aquifers; (ii) Thermo-hydraulic fluid flow in subsurface reservoirs/aquifers; (iii) Thermo-elastic deformation of subsurface reservoirs/aquifers; (iv) The study of fluid flow though seismo-geodetic observations of transient deformation; (v) Anthropogenic seismicity forecasting through physics based models.I developed laboratory set-ups to study the mechanics of fluid pressurized faults using quasi-static and fully dynamic optical imaging. I performed research activities in Experimental Rock mechanics and Experimental Geophysics. I developed and calibrated a High Pressure-High Temperature apparatus, and performed rock deformation and friction experiments in different kinds of set-ups. I have several peer reviewed scientific publications (4 first name) in high impact journals. I have supervised more than 15 engineering student's projects (3 Master's Thesis). I have been a teaching assistant for Geophysics for Engineers, Engineering Geology for Geo-Energy, and Rock Mechanics and Tunneling courses. Show less

I conducted a research project in sedimentary management optimization for hydroelectric power plants. I calibrated and optimized Acoustic Doppler Velocimeter measurements in hydraulic physical models of rivers.
