I met Mateo in December 2018 in Velbert, Germany during the Erasmus+ Training Course "Gender+". I had the position of the main youthwork trainer. What stroke me immediately with him was his attentiveness to the workshops delivered, his sharp observations, his eagerness to learn, and his leadership skills. He took the time, after a certain workshop to approach me and in a very delicate manner, he gave me some feedback on how to handle group dynamics in a tough situation. He even suggested me some resources he was at the time reading for himself. The connection established during the workshops made me think of him as a colleague and not as a participant. In a demanding workshop, where I needed a person to assist me to achieve high results, he agreed with curiosity and he delivered the workshop with me the best way possible.
