Management of workload and machine capacity ranging from single components to large batch quantities using Takt time on various CNC Machinery including: Mazak machining centres, Citizen sliding heads, FANUC based Lathes and Mills as well as associated quality control equipment and additional subcontract operations including machining, welding, EDM and NDT. Key achievements: achieved a 49% increase in output using SMED and similar techniques with a 9% reduction in scrap expenditure in 2020 compared to 2019 by increasing departmental awareness and implementing use of 5Y and Pareto charts. Reduction of unplanned subcontract operations and implementation of productivity, expenditure and quality monitoring. Reported weekly on production metrics (scrap, OEE, expenditure, overtime etc), production engineering projects and Kaizen improvements. Drove improvement across multiple areas by increasing departmental relations, managing improvement projects and using Ishikawa and other quality improvement tools.
