Luigi D'Angelo
Massimo is a great manager. I met him in Bangkok in 2018 during a bid for the Thailand HSR 3 Airports Link project. He effectively coordinated all the technical activities aimed at submitting the best possible bid: engineering and architecture design activities carried out by external consultants, construction planning and logistics analysed by his own engineers, interfaces with representatives of thai contractor partners, and all the stakeholders involved in the project. Massimo proved to be incredibly competent in dealing with that complicated task, ranging between such different problems with ease, and handling cultural differences with surprising spontaneity and naturalness. Salini Impregilo hired Italferr to get technical support on the design issues. I was the only Italferr representative (with remote support from the italian back-office). I can truly say that Massimo was a great client, putting me at ease and making me feel part of the Saini team of engineers. His requests were always clear, precise, and fair, despite the difficult bidding context, where boundary conditions were changing very frequently. This allowed me to set up an effective workplan and deliver Italferr work on time and with the required standards. In fact, I recognise that a great Client is the first step to deliver a great piece of work, and Massimo definitely was an excellent one. Working with him was a pleasure and a great experience!
