I had to handle customer money and give them correct change. At Dunlaps we had a wide menu then more then just ice cream and I had to memorize and prepare each food correctly. Lots of food used during the day was needed to constantly be restocked, I had to monitor when something needed to be restocked and restock in when time during my shift. Show less

I did various types of work during my time at Hannaford. To begin I was a sales associate and ran the cash register and bagged groceries. I also worked occasionally in center store where I would stock shelves and check inventory. I often was placed in the customer help center as well after I had a decent amount of time and experience as a cashier. At this help center, I was challenged with the job of cashiering, along with selling lottery tickets, handling money orders and providing help to customers looking to make returns and exchanges. I was eventually tasked with becoming a trainer as well. I would be given newly hired employees and have to guide them through the correct training and make sure they had read, and completed all the required paperwork and courses. Lastly, I worked in to go orders. I would shop for online orders, package them in the correct places, process their payments online, and deliver them out to their car. Show less
