I hope somebody else out there appreciates the irony, or whatever it is, of the clergy and LinkedIn. (Enter my small tirade on LinkedIn...) How does a member of the clergy sell one's self on LinkedIn. How do we, the faithful properly read and connect to this person. I have thought over this deep question for a few minutes while mulling all my other friends' great leadership and dominance qualities. I have decided to list Scotty as "Mary Scott was senior to me", but perhaps I should have put "I reported directly to Scotty". Anyway, your LinkedIn-resume talks about grants, management, non-profits, fundraising. I guess what LinkedIn doesn't say I'll have to add for y'all: - Listening to people during their dark hours - Helping the sick, the poor, the dying, those who have lost their way - Speaking honestly when the world is crushing, when it isn't honest - Welcoming the new into our world, sending us out when our live's journey is run - Understanding our stuggle against her own struggle, relating, sympathising, empathising. But, yeah, grant writing and raising funds too! Go forth everyone and do the right thing.
