This position has a two-pronged set of objectives to support the ongoing programs of the Haggerty Museum of Art; the first is to create awareness of the museum, its programs and opportunities available for the constituencies of Marquette University students, faculty and staff; the regional residents of southeastern Wisconsin; and specifically targeted groups reflected in the diversity of the programming schedule, and secondly to assist with the variety of efforts to financially support the exhibitions and educational programs that remain free and open to the public.Promotion/Marketing- Distribute press releases - Identify and contact target audiences for each exhibition and related special programs- Prepare electronic press packages - Update media outlet information and research new opportunities- Compose copy for and contract paid advertising in both online and radio media- Expand social networking circles through Facebook, Twitter, Foursquare and Pinterest - Contribute relevant event information to web-based community calendars- Procure and provide print-ready images and additional information when requested Newsletter, Exhibition Announcements and other printed materials- Assemble content and provide to designer- Monitor workflow for timeliness- Work with printers to establish timeliness of process- Coordinate the process of addressing and delivery by mail - Construct annual schedule - Maintain schedule and content for weekly eNews messagesMembership Campaign- Coordinate annual mailing - Process memberships - Maintain accurate records- Compile membership reports and benchmarksSpecial Events (Fundraisers)- Ensure invitation delivery in a timely manner - Track the request of, receipt of, and acknowledgement of corporate and foundation support- Track the request of, receipt of, and acknowledgement of auction items- Assist in compiling income statementsGrants- Assist in obtaining or creating support documentation - Maintain files Show less
