As a full-time Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), I've arrive for each shift determined to treat each resident with respect and kindness. I do everything I can to preserve their dignity, as I provide the individualized physical, psychological, and social support that they need. Maintaining a clean, neat, and organized work environment is one of my top priorities for each residents. Working with them one-on-one, I assist with all activities of daily living such as dressing, grooming, bathing, feeding, toileting, colostomy care, transferring, walking, prosthetic appliances, positioning, range of motion exercises, and communicating. My positive attitude makes a huge impact on the lives of the residents. Under the supervision of the nurse, I assist with specific tasks such as recording vital signs and weights, applying non-prescription creams/ointments, and collecting specimens. I am vigilant about reporting any changes in the condition of residents to the supervising nurse to ensure that all medical needs are properly met. My attention to detail and accuracy help ensure the highest quality of care. As required, I keep accurate records for each resident I work with. With patience and a calm demeanor, I treat those I care for just the way I would want my own family members treated. I go home each day feeling good about the positive impact I have made in the lives of so many in my community. Show less
