  As a journalism student at CSULB I have taken many journalism courses, the first is Broadcast journalism where I worked to learn the skills of working for and on a news station. The second is Data Detective journalism where I perfected my skills with gathering data and working excel. I also took journalism past, present and future, in this course I learned about previous history in journalism and the possibilities for the future. Currently I’m enrolled in a business journalism course, news reporting and ethics, PR, social media communication and reporting for the Daily 49er. Show less

  I was a reporter for a semester and an editor for a semester at LBCC’s student run paper, The Viking. As a reporter I collected information and took my own photos for my stories, many of my stories were published on The Viking. My time as an editor I spent editing and publishing other students stories and helping them to become better writers/ reporters.
