I would describe Maryam as an excellent teacher who brings out the best in each student. Maryam co-supervised my Master of Engineering project on atmospheric dispersion modelling using CALPUFF. She taught me how to run the software CALPUFF, different concepts of atmospheric science and was very supportive every step of the way. She was really approachable, patient and was always there to help even when her own workload was overwhelming. Having exceptional problem solving and analytical skills she would always know how to fix the errors in Fortran coding and taught me how to troubleshoot on my own. She was encouraging, positive and offered a great interactive learning experience. In short, she is a top-notch engineer and a dedicated teacher creating a difference for the environment and its people.
