  Professor Ilana Bennett uses a variety of neuroimaging techniques such as DTI, HARDI, and fMRI to examine age-related differences in the ways we acquire, retain, and retrieve information by identifying the neural subareas that underlie these effects. The Laboratory of Aging and Neurocognitive Imaging (LANI lab) focuses on cortical disconnection as a mechanism to explain these individual- and age-related differences in learning and memory. My role in the lab is to perform quality control on DTI imaging to determine whether the images comply with relevant quality standards and are practical for use in our study. Show less
