Organize and Develop Music Therapy Department servicing multiple staff caseloads for 9 school districts. Nationally Board Certified and Licensed by NYS (LCAT) to provide quality Itinerant Music Therapy Services with primarily a full caseload involving children with multiple development disabilities (primarily autism/Down Syndrome) from 3-21 years. Developed 1st Scored Assessment Music Therapy Evaluation (MT-SEAS) used nationwide and now in Hong Kong. Complete New York State Education requirements of documentation, data collection, progress summaries, IEP's, reporting at CSE/CPSE meetings, SCERTS interventions, creating best modality interventions to promote highest potential achievement in students. Familiar with TEACCH strategies, DIR (Greenspan) technique, Augmentative Communication (including current LAMP and Words for Life programs), as well as Improvisational and other modalities. Therapeutic Crisis Intervention certified. Devise individual and departmental annual goals and report on yearly progress. Organize budget, inventory and purchase orders; assign evaluation referrals to staff and review completion in compliance standards. Use of Microsoft Word and Excel to complete documentation. Application of Garageband, Smart Board, iPad, technology and custom designed song creation to support current curriculum learning in the classroom.
