  In this position I was responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of Sylvan Learning Center of Hampstead, NH. In July of 2012 I oversaw the relocation of our center from Hampstead to Salem NH and transitioned into a part-time Director of Education position. Educational duties include managing and ensuring the quality of the education standards and teaching staff. I keep clients informed on program progress and make recommendations to alter program prescriptions or offer additional programs. Other duties include controlling the labor budget, overseeing staff for all educational policies and procedures, administering the Sylvan Skills Assessments, writing and recommending goal-based programs for Sylvan Students & monitoring programs for performance. Management duties include responsibility over P&L controls, hiring staff, optimizing the sales process, the curriculum delivery, and the marketing activities to schools and the surrounding community. I direct the sales process of new and potential enrollments, monitor and track center performance, revenues, expenses, and fee collection. One major goal is to establish and maintain collaborative relationships with teachers, educational specialists and other school administrators and parent/teacher organizations. Other responsibilities include managing the hiring and training of center employees, leading center staff meetings with all part-time employees; motivating and continually developing center staff, and demonstrating a high level of staff morale professionalism and spirit.
