PLANT Architect Inc. is an award-winning practice that branches into the domains of architecture, landscape, and design. The studio operates across spatial scales and disciplinary borders to reveal a site’s potential, distil client-needs into a clear design vision, and create timeless spaces that heighten one’s experience of a site, city, or natural landscape.PLANT’s studio is a hybrid practice that brings together architecture, landscape, urbanism, and art, explored through a combination of commissioned projects and self-initiated research at a range of scales. Major projects include the Dublin Grounds of Remembrance in Ohio, Nathan Phillips Square Revitalization in Toronto, Liza’s Garden at the Royal Ontario Museum, Foote’s Pond Wood in New Jersey, and the Canadian Firefighters Memorial in Ottawa. The studio was founded in 1997 by partners Lisa Rapoport, Chris Pommer, and Mary Tremain. PLANT is based in Toronto and comprises a studio of 10-12 people from the disciplines of both architecture and landscape architecture.
