• Planned and facilitated the summer health ambassador program with four high school interns, where they learned how to apply the six aspects of wellness not just into their personal lives, but also into their schools by creating health and wellness clubs. • Aided the Health Ambassadors in performing various tasks, such as the implementation of “brain breaks” (Mindfulness) into the Kershaw County public school system. • Promoted, planned, and presented at various community events led by LiveWell Kershaw, such as, “This Is It,” an event to empower high schoolers to take charge of their health, and the Wellness Rider Bus Tour, which informed residents of the public health work being accomplished in Kershaw County. • Assisted in implementing a work wellness program for local businesses, which consisted of three different topics: mindfulness, healthy eating at the office, and exercising at work. • Trained as a “ToP facilitator” in order to engage the community, schools, and elected officials in participating in the Live Well Coalition.
