One of the wonderful aspects of this position is being exposed to all types of people. I usually work with women of different cultures that need the added resources available. We walk through their concept with me doing a lot of listening. Research on both of our ends is next. Then we explore the opportunity and what their strong suits are and where they need support. If this concept has merit then we proceed. At the SBDC center the key is getting the business plan done, getting the necessary funding and opening the business. The environment at the center is very helpful and love working with the other counselors and director.
