Jan 2021 - Present
As a business developer intern at Secret, I am learning how to effectively communicate with clients while also learning the ins and outs of running a startup, something that I would not have had the chance to learn in a larger enterprise. This internship has not only shown me a new sector of the business world but has also immersed me in the French culture and language, something which was my goal was day 1. May 2020 - Aug 2020
With the ongoing pandemic I found myself working from home with EY which was a new challenge. I learned how to be more independent in my work considering it wasn't as easy to contact someone and ask for advice. I worked across a wide range of tax services including corporate tax, VAT, FATCA, CRS and CTORS. Having been given more responsibility, I pushed myself to learn more and expand my knowledge.
