Client Specialist
-
Sep 2015 - Jan 2019
As a Client Specialist, my focus was on creating and fostering a culture of hospitality through exceptional customer experiences. I was also responsible for identifying non-profit organizations and leading store fundraisers on their behalf. For the annual "Dress For Success" event I was the store lead working with other stores and the District manager - all to help support women in our community get back into the workforce. Created brochures and annual appeal letters; built and managed an email distribution and sent regular updates; created and managed a website; and raised awareness of St. Barnabas to the community by working with Valerie Pritchett from ABC 27 News on the ministry’s first story in its 20-year history. Managed and worked with 13 churches for 5 years serving over 25,000 meals to campers & counselors; for St. Stephen’s week, moved to a “Captain & Crew” model making a labor-intensive job more manageable. Outreach Chair
-
Oct 2005 - Jan 2010
For over 20 years, the Great Pumpkin Chase was a 5k race & 1-mile fun run well known to its participants, and one of St. Stephen’s biggest annual fundraiser. As co-race director, I immediately made the Great Pumpkin Chase a project of The Foundation for Enhancing Communities ("TFEC") to gain more corporate sponsors and augment our small Cathedral Office. For 5 years I maintained key relationships with and acquired new sponsors as well as in-kind donations for up to 750 runners; designed the t-shirts; managed door prizes; and provided decorations for the pavilion. Over $100,000 in proceeds went to larger then eventually smaller, less known local outreach ministries who benefited greatly from the exposure and funds. Show less
