Mary has been volunteering for Envision for over a year now. In her first year, she mentored her students with such dedication and quality that they became the Envision Team of the Year 2011. Mary has gone above and beyond with her time and commitment on numerous occasions and I recommend her highly for youth work and educational positions, particularly relating to the arts.

Mary has been a voluntary Guide at Tate for almost 2 years, giving free public tours to our visitors covering the collection displays at Tate Britain and Tate Modern. As a Guide Mary plays an important role in interpreting the artworks on display to a wide range of different people, explaining often challenging concepts and ideas in a way that is accessible and easy to understand. Guiding at Tate requires continual independent research in order to keep up to date with regularly changing displays. Mary's skill in communicating with our visitors is a real asset to our team, she is a very talented Guide and greatly enriches the experience of many of the people who visit our galleries.
