  I supported IHOP Corp.'s commercial real estate attorney in all the legal aspects of acquiring leasehold or fee simple interests in commercial property for the construction of restaurants, the construction process, and service contracts, including annual contract renewals. I prepared the leases (property and FF&E) with affiliated companies for properties that were purchased. I performed the work required to form new affiliated or subsidiary entities and qualify or register the company's various entities in "foreign" U.S. jurisdictions. I also supported the company's franchise law attorney and paralegal with various matters involving franchisees, such as sublease and equipment lease amendments, franchise extensions, default notices, franchise terminations, and closings of franchise sales and terminations. During the company's LBO and IPO processes, I was involved in the preparation of the real property documents that were required, including lease abstracts and lease assignments.
