Mary is an enthusiastic and skilled communicator who, while working at Exelis, distinguished herself in local and international media relations. In addition to strong media and community relationships in the Roanoke and SW Virginia region, Mary also has an excellent network of U.S. and international journalists in the aerospace and defense industries. She is adept and both internal and external communications and most recently served as the lead on-site communicator for one of the largest manufacturing facilities within Exelis. I'd highly recommend her!

Simply put, Mary does it all! Mary effectively managed media relations, local through international, for the Night Vision business of Exelis. She built deep relationships with reporters around the globe resulting in positive coverage in international trade publications that cover the military industry. Mary planned and executed tradeshows around the world promoting night vision products to international and domestic buyers. She managed advertising by developing schedules, working with advertisers, guiding ad agencies and determining placements. She also effectively executed employee communications, community relations, social media and planned events while always juggling many of these actions at once. Mary is an excellent example of a communications professional with all of the skills and expertise to significantly transform an organization's communications and marketing efforts.
